Most you’ll see are quartz movements, often off-the-shelf Swiss or Japanese (think Miyota or Ronda, not exactly bragging-rights caliber). Prices seem to hover in the “fashion accessory” zone-what you’d pay for a nice belt, not a moonphase complication. Mechanicals are unicorns, and if you find one, expect fashion-brand finishing, not a Geneva Seal.

In terms of collector intrigue, they’re about on par with Gucci or Versace: eye-catching, yes, but not much substance for the die-hard horology crowd. If you want solid residuals or movement pedigree, you’re better off sticking with names that don’t double as Milan runway headliners. If you’re after substance beneath the runway appeal-finishing, mechanical provenance, serviceability-they’re not built for that. For flexing your fashion sense? Sure. For flexing at RedBar?
